Bosal's Quilter's Grid Fusible Interfacing features 1 inch gridlines ideal for bargello and watercolor quilting projects. Bosal Quilter's 1 in Grid Fusible Interfacing is made from nonwoven, 100% polyester.
Instructions:
- For a Pixel Quilt cut your fusible grid into workable sections, your pattern may specify a number of block units or use a size you are comfortable working with.
- Simply cut 1" squares of your fabric and fuse to the grid (make sure you use the fusible side where you can feel the bumps to adhere to the wrong side of your fabric)
- Once you have fused your fabric to the grid, fold the first row (either horizontal or vertical), right sides together and stitch a 1/4" seam, repeat with the next row. Clip your seams at the intersections and press seams in opposite direction for each row.
- Next, sew your opposite rows from the above instructions (horizontal or vertical) making sure you nest your seams to minimize bulk
- EXPERT TIP - Sew all your panels the same way, EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Either horizontal first, vertical second or vice versa. The 2nd seam will be a wider due to the bulk of the interfacing making yours squares will be slightly rectangular. By sewing the same way for every panel, your rows will line up. To avoid the above, sew your second seams with a very scan 1/4" and your squares will be perfect!
- 2ND EXPERT TIP! - Test a block first to test the above and find your best method.
